About

Hi!

I currently work as a FT Youth Services Assistant at one of my favorite libraries. In the past, I have worked in Adult Services and Circulation/Reference.

In 2019, I graduated from library school and earned my MLIS! I have also served on various YA award committees, including as a member of the 2021 YALSA William C. Morris YA Debut Award committee.

I'm originally from California, and also have a M.A. in Political Theory -- specifically Critical Race Theory and Feminist Theory. I like to think this gives me a unique insight into issues of diversity and representation in the library.

Beyond #libraryland, I spend much of my time reading, eating vegan food ("how do you know someone's a vegan? they'll find a way to mention it!"), watching rescue kittens on Youtube, watching a scambaiter pretend to be an elderly woman, exercising, collecting beanie babies (no, really!), and listening to podcasts. I also love to continually re-learn all the French I took in college.
